Parigi, Francia, 2001. Octave Parango, una giovane inserzionista che lavora presso l'agenzia pubblicitaria Ross & Witchcraft, vive un'esistenza suicida, dominata dal cinismo, dall'irresponsabilità e dalla dissolutezza. Gli ostacoli che incontrerà nello sviluppo di una campagna per un nuovo marchio di yogurt lo costringeranno ad affrontare il significato del suo lavoro e il modo in cui gestisce il suo rapporto con coloro che orbitano attorno al suo stile di vita egoista.
