忘れられた人々

オペラ観劇後に晩餐会に招かれ、ノビレ夫妻の邸宅を訪れた20人のブルジョワたち。晩餐を終えた彼らは客間にすっかり腰を落ち着かせ、夜が明けても全員が帰る方法を忘れたかのように客間を出ることができなくなってしまう。そのまま数日が過ぎ、水や食料も底を突いて命を落とす者まで出現。ブルジョワたちの道徳や倫理が崩壊していく中、事態は異様な展開へ転がりはじめる。
