재난의 신 로키는 자신이 인간계에 던진 마스크를 찾기 위해 직접 인간 세상에 내려온다. 그것을 쓴 대상에게 초자연적인 에너지를 제공하는 그 마스크가 새로이 흘러들어간 곳은 만화가 팀 에이버리의 집이었다. 할로윈 파티 때 자신의 애견 오티스가 물고 온 마스크를 우연히 착용하게 되고 파티의 분위기를 주도하면서 상사의 눈에 띄었을 뿐만 아니라 아내와의 사이에 아이까지 갖게 되는데, 이 아기가 마스크로 인해 이상한 기운을 가지고 태어나게 된다.
