Lyg ir istorinis, siurrealistinis, trenktas, tragiškai linksmas epas, kuriame bandoma parodijuojant satyriškai apžvelgti „šalies, kurios nebėra“ – Jugoslavijos – pusės amžiaus istoriją. Antrojo pasaulinio karo metais pogrindininkai antifašistai Belgrade įsteigė ginklų fabrikėlį. Karas jau baigėsi, o jie vis dar tęsia savo veiklą. Visus tuos metus gyvenimas viršuje teka savo vaga, o „pogrindyje“ – savo. Markas tampa ryšininku su išoriniu pasauliu, bet kad pavojus jau seniai nebegresia, jis nepraneša, juk jis taip gerai jaučiasi būdamas tarpininku tarp dviejų pasaulių. Tik po 50 metų pogrindžio gyventojams pasiseka išsiveržti į paviršių, kur, pasirodo, vis dar vyksta karas. Vietoj įprastinio titro „Filmo pabaiga“ šis kūrinys baigiasi užrašu: „Ši istorija neturi galo“.
