Veiksmas vyksta Londone, Antrojo Pasaulinio karo metu. Mama Vendi bando apsaugoti savo vaikus nuo karo žiaurumų, pasakodama apie magišką Niekados šalį, kurioje kadaise lankėsi su Piteriu Penu. Tačiau stebuklingi pasakojimai patinka tik jaunėliui Deniui, o dvylikametė Džeinė nenori tikėti tokiomis nesąmonėmis… tol, kol pati patenka į paslaptingą Niekados šalį, esančią toli žvaigždėse! Čia ją nusigabena piktojo kapitono Kablio žmonės, pagrobę slapta naktį. Mergaitę Džeinę išgelbėti gali tik Piteris Penas. Ir jis, žavus skraidantis jaunuolis, pasirodo ir pagelbsti mergaitei, kai jo labiausiai prireikia. Po šių nuotykių Džeinė pradeda tikėti pasakomis, stebuklais ir kitais dalykais, kurie galimi tik tiems, kurie gali ir nori tikėti… Juk jei labai nori, gali net ir skraidyti!
