Filmo istorija prasideda lygiai taip pat. Aviukas Šonas nusprendžia šiek tiek pasilinksminti, tačiau netikėtai įvykiai pakrypsta kiek netikėta linkme. Šono išdaiga priverčia Fermerį išvykti iš gimtosios sodybos į tolimą ir nepažįstamą Didelį Miestą. Supratęs, kad ir vėl privirė košės, aviukas Šonas mobilizuoja fermos gyventojus ir visi kartu iškeliauja gelbėti mylimo šeimininko. Tačiau ar pavyks aviukui ir jo draugams, didžiąją gyvenimo dalį praleidusiems jaukioje ir paprastoje kaimo sodyboje, nepasiklysti Dideliame Mieste? Ar jie sugebės išvengti kiekviename žingsnyje tykančių netikėtumų, naujovių bei nematytų ir gąsdinančių dalykų? Ar jiems pasiseks apsimesti paprastais gyvūnais daugybės žmonių apsuptyje? Galų gale – ar aviukas Šonas ir jo draugai suspės surasti Fermerį, kol jis nepradingo galutinai?
