Nenorėdamas didinti politinės įtampos tarp Izraelio ir Palestinos, Stevenas Spielbergas prie filmo „Miunchenas“ kūrybinės komandos paprašė prisijungti Izraelio Ministrą Pirmininką Arielį Sharoną. Kartu su buvusiu JAV prezidentu B. Klintonu bei jo pagalbininkais šis politikas bus vienas iš patarėjų, padedančių baigti kurti ir reklamuoti juostą, atkuriančią tragiškus 1972-ųjų Miuncheno Olimpiados įvykius. „Nemanau, kad kokia nors meno rūšis – filmas, knyga, paveikslas – gali surasti išeitį iš beviltiškos šiandieninės Vidurio Rytų situacijos. Tačiau pabandyti verta. Kažkur tarp viso šito nesusitaikymo turi būti taikos prašytojas. Didžiausias priešas – tai ne palestiniečiai ar izraeliečiai. Didžiausias priešas šiame regione yra nesutaikomumas“, - įsitikinęs Stevenas Spielbergas.
