Mažylį suranda netoliese gyvenantis žirgų treneris Nolanas Volšas (įsk. Andrius Kaniava) ir jo dukrelė Dženė (įsk. Renata Kutinaitė), kuri labai nori pasilikti zebriuką namuose. Tėtis iš pradžių priešinasi tokiam sumanymui ir planuoja kuo greičiau susirasti pamesto gyvūno savininkus, bet kiek vėliau nusileidžia.
Volšų fermoje Dryžiumi pavadintą zebriuką (įsk. Leo) draugiškai priima kiti gyventojai: ūmaus chakterio ponis Kuodžius (įsk. Vladas Bagdonas), patarimų nestokojanti geraširdė ožka Franė (įsk. Asta Baukutė), išsiblaškęs gaidys Redžis (įsk. Dainius Kazlauskas), dvi linksmosios musės (įsk. Kostas Smoriginas ir Vaidotas Martinaitis) ir pelikanas pravarde Žąsas (įsk. Vytautas Šapranauskas), kuris kažkodėl yra įsitikinęs, kad jį persekioja mafija.
