Nepriklausomo kino festivalyje "Sundance" už geriausią režisūrą apdovanotas ir "Oscarui" už geriausią dokumentinį filmą pristatytas kūrinys jau pakeitė daugelio žmonių gyvenimo būdą. Pavyzdžiui, jaunoji kino žvaigždė Scarlett Johansson ("Pasiklydę vertime") anksčiau dėl laiko stokos nuolat maitinosi "McDonalds" tinklo restoranuose. Kol nepažiūrėjo šio filmo.
Po pirmųjų filmo seansų "McDonalds" kompanijoje kilo panika. Šio tinklo atstovai pradėjo grasinti televizijoms, radijo stotims ir laikraščiams žadėdami nebesireklamuoti, jeigu bus rodomi reportažai, kalbama ir rašoma apie Morgano Spurlocko kūrinį. O San Sebastjano kino festivalyje "McDonalds" puolimas atsisuko prieš juos pačius,- visi bilietai į seansus buvo išpirkti akimirksniu. Žmonės privalo žinoti, ką jie valgo!
