Kai viename ūkyje kiaulė pagaliau atsiveda ilgai lauktų paršiukų, vienam iš jų nelemta gyventi... Jeigu ne drąsuolė Fern! Pasipriešinusi tėčiui, ji išgelbėja rausvą paršelį nuo mirties ir pavadina jį Vilburu. Kai Vilburas vieną dieną tampa dideliu ir švytinčiu paršeliu, iš Fern glėbio jis persikelia gyventi į naują tvartą. Paršelis trokšta kuo greičiau susidraugauti su savo naujų namų gyventojais. Avys, karvės, antys, arklys visai nenusiteikę į savo būrį priimti naujo gyventojo. Tuo labiau, kai jam gyventi lemta tik iki Kalėdų... Vilburui nusprendžia padėti vorė Šarlotė. Savo kibiame voratinklyje ji pradeda mezgti žodžius, kurie ūkio savininką turi įtikinti, kad Vilburas - ne šiaip eilinis paršelis. Pamažu į kovą už Vilburo išgelbėjimą stoja visi tvarto gyventojai, tačiau kaip reikia įtikinti gyvūnų kalbos nesuprantančius žmones, ypač kai Kalėdos vis greičiau ir greičiau artėja?
