Seorang penyamun abad ke-19 yang menakutkan, Cobra Verde memotong kawasan melalui Brazil sehingga dia tiba di ladang gula Don Octávio Countinho. Tidak mengetahui bahawa tetamu barunya adalah penyamun terkenal dan kagum dengan cara kejamnya, Don Octávio mengupah Cobra Verde untuk mengawasi hambanya. Tetapi apabila Cobra Verde menghamili tiga anak perempuan Don Octávio, pemilik ladang yang marah itu mengasingkan penjahat itu ke Afrika di mana dia dijangka membuka semula perdagangan hamba. Berikutan perjalanan trans-Atlantiknya, Cobra Verde mengeksploitasi konflik puak untuk menguasai kubu terbengkalai dan menyebat tentera pahlawan telanjang ke dalam nafsu darah yang gila ketika dia bersaing untuk terus hidup.
