Tsubasa Ozora suka bermain bola sepak sejak dia masih kecil. Selepas berpindah ke bandar Nankatsu di Jepun bersama ibunya, budak lelaki berusia 11 tahun itu dengan cepat mencari rakan dan menyertai pasukan bola sepak tempatan di sekolah rendahnya. Bersama-sama dengan rakan-rakannya yang baru dijadikan dan mentor Brazil Roberto, Tsubasa memulakan perjalanan menariknya untuk mengejar impiannya yang paling diinginkan - suatu hari nanti memenangi Piala Dunia FIFA.
