Pablo ialah seorang lelaki yang mempunyai keupayaan semula jadi untuk perniagaan. Pada awal hidupnya, Pablo diperkenalkan kepada perniagaan kokain dan kuasa yang dihasilkannya. Kehidupan jenayah muda membawa Pablo masuk dan keluar dari penjara semasa dia membina empayar jenayahnya. Pablo meluaskan kuasanya melalui politik tetapi tidak lama sebelum konfliknya sebagai Ahli Kongres dan raja dadah bertembung. Pablo telah membunuh musuh-musuhnya, tetapi tidak sebelum Amerika Syarikat mengaktifkan perangnya sendiri terhadap kartel Medellin.
