Max er i ferd med å starte sitt nye drømmeliv på college hvor både kunnskap og sport står på timeplanen. Men når Langbein får sparken og tvinges til å ta en ordentlig utdannelse, havner han på samme skole som sønnen. Max sine drømmer forvandles snart til et mareritt når Langbein tar den helt ut med sin pinlige 70-tallsstil, slengbukser og diskodans. Det blir ikke bedre når han ufrivillig blir dratt inn i idrettens verden, hvor han blant annet forsøker å blir mester på skateboard…
