Masahiko Kai (Yasuaki Kurata) dawny, wielokrotny mistrz wschodnich sztuk walki, nie mogąc już walczyć postanawia poszukać swego następcy. Jego uczniem zostaje wkrótce Ryu Tenmei (Simon Yam). Niestety mimo ciężkiego treningu i żmudnych przygotowań, chłopak zostaje zabity podczas walki. Dwa lata później Kai wraca na ring, by odzyskać tytuł i pomścić śmierć ucznia.
