Przed laty, w czasach szkolnych Giorgio (Raoul Bova), Lorenzo (Ricky Memphis), Piero (Luca Bizzarri), Luisa (Barbora Bobuľová), Virgilio (Paolo Kessisoglu) i Francesca (Ambra Angiolini) byli najlepszymi przyjaciółmi. Wszyscy grali razem w tej samej kapeli i z muzyką wiązali swoją przyszłość. Niestety, po skończeniu szkoły i zdaniu egzaminu dojrzałości, każdy z nich wybrał inną drogę. Mija dwadzieścia lat. Pewnego dnia członkowie dawnego zespołu otrzymują wiadomość z Ministerstwa Oświaty. Okazuje się, że z powodu błędów formalnych muszą ponownie podejść do matury. Bohaterowie przeżywają szok, lecz potem z radością uświadamiają sobie, że znów spotkają starych znajomych.
