Hatsumi e Hazuzi são irmãs. Hatsumi nutre uma paixão secreta e proibida por sua irmã. No 16º aniversário de Hazuki, após um “acidente”, Hazuki é envolta por uma luz verde e desaparece em meio a ela. Antes de desaparecer, Hazuki chama por Hatsumi, causando espanto já que ela, supostamente, é muda. Logo em seguida, um ser semelhante a um pássaro surge do nada reclamando que não chegou a tempo, e então ele é intimado por Hatsumi a levá-la até sua irmã… Eles vão parar em uma estranha biblioteca e aí começa a estranha jornada de Hatsumi por diversos mundos a procura de sua irmã.
