Bradley Thomas, un fost boxer, își pierde locul de muncă ca mecanic auto, iar căsnicia sa tulbure este pe cale să se destrame. În fața acestei răscruci din viața sa, Bradley se hotărăște să-și salveze mariajul revenind la câștigurile financiare din distribuirea drogurilor pentru un gangster local. Acest lucru îi îmbunătățește situația, oferindu-i o scurtă perioadă de fericire și securitate, până în ziua teribilă în care se găsește prins în mijlocul unui schimb de focuri dintre un grup de ofițeri de poliție și aliații săi nemiloși. După ce fumul se ridică, Bradley este rănit grav și aruncat în închisoare, unde dușmanii săi îl forțează să comită acte de violență care transformă locul într-un câmp de luptă sălbatic.
