Rod Drew, însărcinat de un bătrân să îi găsească nepoata dispărută în mod misterios, pleacă în nordul Canadei. Împreună cu prietenul său Wabi, Rod descoperă harta unei misterioase mine de aur. Ajunși la Wabinosh House, îi întâlnesc pe George Newsome și pe fiica lui, Felice. Acoliții lui Jules LaRocque încearcă să fure planul și nu reușesc să o răpească pe Felice, pe care Rod și Wabi reușesc să o elibereze. Dar LaRoque o trimite pe tânăra Marie LaFleur să-l spioneze pe Newsome, iar unul dintre oamenii săi deghizat în inspector de poliție călare îi prinde pe Rod și pe Wabi.
