Șapte membri trăiesc o experiență de groază în Spitalul de Psihiatrie Gonjiam, înconjurați de povești tulburătoare cu fantome, după sinuciderea în masă a 42 de pacienți și dispariția directorului spitalului în 1979. Biroul directorului, sala de tratament de grup, laboratorul și camera 402, încă nedeschisă, se află acolo. Pe măsură ce membrii încep să filmeze în interiorul spitalului pentru a surprinde adevărul din spatele poveștilor cu fantome, încep să li se întâmple lucruri ciudate și terifiante, de neimaginat.
