La 26 de ani, modelul Simone Prévost își reevaluează deja întreaga viață, după ce a supraviețuit unui accident rutier groaznic. Ea demisionează, anulează o excursie în Italia și pleacă în căutarea celui mai apropiat prieten al ei, Philippe, ca să-l roage să facă un copil cu ea. Inițial, Philippe e reticent, dar într-un final e de acord, cu o singură condiție: copilul să fie conceput în deșert.
