Acțiunea, care are loc undeva între evenimentele din jocurile video Tekken 5 și Tekken 6, este concentrată în jurul studentului Shin Kamiya. Corporațiile rivale "Mishima Zaibatsu", condusă de Jin Kazama, și "G Corporation", condusă de tatăl acestuia, Kazuya, aleg să trimită câte un spion pentru a-l supraveghea.
Alisa Bosconovitch este un robot umanoid, care lucrează pentru subalterna lui Jin, Nina Williams. Ling Xiaoyu este o studentă chinezoaică trimisă de Anna Williams, aliata lui Kazuya. În ciuda scopurilor lor conflictuale, cele două formează o prietenie tensionată, care este la scurt timp pusă la încercare atunci când companiile lor hotărăsc să-l captureze pe Shin.
