Adaptare a romanului semnat de Louisa May Alcott, filmul „Fiicele doctorului March” spune povestea a patru surori crescute de mama lor, în timp ce tatăl luptă pe front, în armata Unionistă. În centrul acțiunii se află Jo, o scriitoare aspirantă, în jurul căreia se țes poveștile celorlalte trei surori - convenționala Meg, inocenta Beth și precocea Amy.
