"Pacific" relatează povestea reală a destinelor intercalate a trei pușcași marini - Robert Leckie, Eugene Sledge și John Basilone - de-a lungul întregilor operațiuni de pe frontul din Pacific, în timpul Celui de-al Doilea Război Mondial. Miniseria merge pe urmele acestor oameni și a tovarășilor lor de luptă, de la prima lor victorie înpotriva japonezilor, la Guadalcanal, până în pădurile tropicale din Cape Gloucester și fortărețele din Peleliu, de-a lungul dunelor de nisip însângerate de pe Iwo Jima și-a ororii numite Okinawa și până la triumfătoarea și deloc ușoara întoarcere acasă după declararea victoriei împotriva Japoniei.
