Scoția, anul 994 d.Hr. Goliath și clanul său de garguie au făgăduit să apere un castel medieval. Goliath este amăgit de oameni și descoperă că întregul său clan a fost nimicit. El și garguiele care au rămas în viață sunt blestemate să cadă într-un somn adânc, timp de o mie de ani. Miliardarul David Xanatos cumpără castelul și îl mută în New York, transformându-l în sediul său principal. Atunci când castelul este luat cu asalt, garguiele se trezesc la viață și sunt descoperite de detectivul Elisa Maza și de David Xanatos. Garguiele încearcă să treacă neobservate în timp ce se luptă cu dușmani vechi și noi. Stane de piatră pe timp de zi și războinici pe timp de noapte, noi suntem garguie.
