Vremurile disperate cer măsuri disperate, iar situația lui Ray Drecker nu ar putea fi mult mai dificilă. Fostul legendar sportiv de liceu, devenit antrenor de baschet la vârsta mijlocie, este divorțat și se luptă să-și întrețină copiii când casa sa, deja dărăpănată, ia foc.
