Hellsing este o organizație secretă finanțată de guvernul britanic având drept scop distrugerea tuturor ființelor supranaturale în scopul protejării oamenilor. Integra Wingates Hellsing este liderul actual al acestei organizațiii și deținătoarea unei armate personale care se ocupă cu distrugerea tuturor strigoilor. Pe lângă armata numeroasă, se regăsește și arma secretă a organizației: un vampir cu sânge rece întotdeauna pregătit să omoare pentru a se distra. El luptă cu o ferocitate nemaivăzută și rareori își omoară ținta înainte de a fi umilită, uneori chiar lăsându-i să-l omoare o singură dată pentru amuzamentul său. Alături de Alucard mai este și Seras Victoria, o vampiriță care-i este complet loială și care va juca un rol important de-a lungul seriei. Pe lângă strigoii și vampirii pe care organizația trebuie să-i înfrunte.
