Pri stavbe nového Las Vegas sa stane Fryovi nehoda, pri ktorej sa naučí čítať myšlienky, vďaka prívesku, ktorý sa mu zabodne do hlavy a teda do mozgu. Po tom, čo Fry objaví svoje nové schopnosti, ho vyhľadá skupina ľudí s rovnakými schopnosťami. Túto skupinu vedie tajomný muž č. 9, ktorý Fryovi povie, že len on môže zachrániť vesmír pred zničením. Fry sa dáva do služieb pána Wonga, ktorý chce zničiť celé jedno rameno Mliečnej dráhy, kvôli stavbe najväčšieho minigolfového ihrisko vo vesmíre. Tejto stavbe chcú zabrániť ekofeministky, ku ktorým sa pridá aj Leela a ďalšie ženy z Futuramy a Planet Expresu. A tým sa rozpadne celý Planet Expres... a Bender sa zamiluje do dcéry šéfa robomafie.
