Mazinger Z, v Spojených štátoch krátko známy ako Tranzor Z, je japonská manga séria o superrobotoch, ktorú napísal a ilustroval Go Nagai. Prvá manga verzia bola serializovaná v týždenníku Shueisha Weekly Shōnen Jump od októbra 1972 do augusta 1973 a neskôr pokračovala v časopise Kodansha TV Magazine od októbra 1973 do septembra 1974. Bol adaptovaný do anime televízneho seriálu, ktorý sa vysielal na Fuji TV od decembra 1972 do septembra 1974. Druhá manga séria bola vydaná paralelne s televíznym seriálom, tentoraz kreslená Gosaku Otatom, ktorá začala a skončila takmer súčasne s televíznym seriálom. Mazinger Z priniesol niekoľko pokračovaní a spin-off sérií, medzi nimi UFO Robot Grendizer a Mazinkaiser. Bol to veľmi populárny kreslený seriál v Mexiku počas 80. rokov, kde bol nadabovaný priamo do španielčiny z japonskej verzie, pričom sa zachovali japonské mená postáv a odvysielalo sa všetkých 92 epizód, na rozdiel od verzie vysielanej v USA.
