Príbeh o priateľstve a rodine, zrade a vine v arabskom klane žijúcom v centre Berlína (v obvode Neukölln). Dej sa točí okolo Aliho 'Toni' Hamadyho, ktorý dal svojej manželke Kalil sľub, že opustí zločinecké podsvetie a ujde zo svojho rajónu, svojich 4 blokov. Keď je však jeho švagor počas razie zatknutý, Toni sa cíti povinný znovu postaviť do čela klanu. Nechce odovzdať svoje vládnucej žezlo horkokrevnému bratovi Abbasovi, ktorý sa prezentuje ako nový vodca rodiny. Keď sa na scéne objaví dávny priateľ Vince, Toni v jeho spoločnosti nájde vytúženú útechu a povzbudenie. Jeho sny o novom živote bez zločinu sa opäť zdajú byť na dosah. Toni si však bude musieť uvedomiť, že zo sveta plného násilia nie je úniku.
