Operacija Mincemeat je izjemna resnična zgodba o ideji, ki je želela spremeniti potek vojne. Ta resnični dogodek se je izkazal za ključno prelomnico v drugi svetovni vojni in je bistveno spremenil prihodnost Evrope. Piše se leto 1943. zavezniki so odločeni zaustaviti Hitlerjev nadzor nad okupirano Evropo, zato načrtujejo invazijo na Sicilijo. Pri tem pa se soočijo z nemogočim izzivom - kako zaščititi masovno invazijo pred potencialnim pokolom. Dva izjemna obveščevalna častnika Ewen Montagu in Charles Cholmondeley sta tako edino upanje, da si domislita najbolj neverjetno dezinformativno strategijo v vojni, ki je osredotočena na najmanj verjetnega tajnega agenta: mrtveca.
