Годинама после радње која се одвијала у првом делу филма, Данте је и даље продавац у радњи мешовите робе у Њу Џерзију, док Рендал и даље нервира муштерије као радник у оближњем видео-клубу. У ствари, они су радили све док пожар није захватио цео тржни центар, па су њих двојица приморани да траже нови посао. Времена су тешка, па су приморани да забораве све своје амбиције и запосле се у ресторану брзе хране. Док се Рендалов однос према муштеријама није променио, Данте покушава да извуче најбоље из ситуације и планира да улепша свој живот венчањем са Емом (Џенифер Швалбах Смит) и пресели се на Флориду. Али, његове планове компликује чињеница да се заљубио у Беки (Розарио Досон), духовиту девојку, која му је шефица.
