Саид, Винс и Хјуберт су тројица беспослених пријатеља из париског предграђа. Време им пролази у убијању досаде док прате вести о здравственом стању свог познаника Абдела који је хоспитализован након што га је полиција окрутно претукла. Винс је посебно бесан због тога, а будући да је за време немира који су претходили пронашао изгубљени полицијски пиштољ, планира да се сам обрачуна с полицијом. Хјуберт је разумнији и с негодовањем гледа на импулсивно понашање пријатеља. Пратећи Саида у град, где посећује дилера дроге који му дугује новац, ухапшени су због стварања нереда у згради. Винс успева да побегне док Хјуберт и Саид постају жртве полицијског иживљавања.
