'Анђеоско срце' је смештено у педесете године прошлог века. Ексцентрични Луис Сифре (Роберт ДеНиро) унајмљује приватног детектива Харија Ејнџела (Мки Рурк) како би ушао у траг несталом певачу Џонију Фавориту с којим има несређене рачуне. Ејнџела истрага води у мочварну Луизијану и Њу Орлеанс где тражи људе који би могли знати нешто више о локацији несталог. Посебно је узнемирујућ податак да апсолутно сви са којима Ејнџел разговара заврше мртви неколико дана касније.
