Pre trideset godina čudan fenomen nazvan "svemirski zemljotres" opustošio je centar Evroazije, odnevši živote najmanje 150 miliona ljudi. Od tada, manji svemirski zemljotresi muče svet na neredovnoj osnovi. Shido Itsuka, naizgled običan srednjoškolac, nailazi na misterioznu devojku na nultoj tački svemirskog zemljotresa i saznaje da je ona jedan od "duhova" koji su pravi uzrok svemirskih zemljotresa koji se javljaju kada se manifestuju u svetu. On je regrutovan da iskoristi svoju misterioznu sposobnost da zapečati moći Duhova i tako ih spreči da budu pretnja čovečanstvu.
