Mazinger Z, kortvarigt känd som Tranzor Z i USA, är en japansk superrobot-mangaserie skriven och illustrerad av Go Nagai. Den första mangaversionen publicerades som följetong i Shueishas Weekly Shōnen Jump från oktober 1972 till augusti 1973, och fortsatte senare i Kodansha TV Magazine från oktober 1973 till september 1974. Den adapterades till en anime-tv-serie som sändes på Fuji TV från december 1972 till september 1974. En andra mangaserie släpptes parallellt med TV-serien, denna tecknad av Gosaku Ota, som började och slutade nästan samtidigt som TV-serien. Mazinger Z har gett upphov till flera uppföljare och spinoff-serier, bland annat UFO Robot Grendizer och Mazinkaiser. Det var en mycket populär tecknad film i Mexiko under 1980-talet, där den dubbades till spanska direkt från den japanska versionen, behöll de japanska karaktärsnamnen och sände alla 92 avsnitt, till skillnad från versionen som sändes i USA.
