Agnes ve Elin, İsveç'te Åmål isimli küçük kasabada yaşayan iki genç kızdır. Rahat, sempatik ve popüler bir kız olan Elin'in aksine depresif Agnes'in pek arkadaşı yoktur. Gizliden gizliye Elin'den hoşlanan Agnes bunu ifade etmenin bir yolunu bulamadıkça daha da mutsuz olmakta ve içine kapanmaktadır. Agnes'in durumundan endişelenen ailesi 16. yaş gününü kutlamak için parti düzenlerler. Başka bir partiye gitmemek için Agnes'in partisine gelen Elin ile Agnes arasında arkadaşlıktan daha farklı bir ilişki başlayacaktır. Lezbiyenlik ve arkadaşlık üzerine naif bir film olan Sev Beni, İsveçli yönetmen Lukas Moodysson'a Berlin Film Festivali'nde de ödül getirdi.
