Antikacı dükkanı işletmekte olan Jesus Gris tesadüfen, 450 yıl önce bir simyacı tarafından icat edilmiş mekanik bir kapsül bulur. Filmde, yapıştığı kişiye gençlik ve güç aşılayan, örümcek şeklinde olan bu altın kapsülün aynı zamanda insan kanı içilmeden bastırılamayan bir açlık getirdiğini de farkeden Gris'in insandan vampire dönüşme süreci anlatılır. İçinde bulunduğu karışık durumdan çıkış yolu bulamayan Gris'in vücudundaki kapsülün peşinde olan başkalarının da olduğunu öğrenmesi uzun sürmeyecektir.
