SG-1 ekibi ve Jack O'Neill, Goa'uld sistem lordlarının sonuncusu olan Ba'al'ın idam törenine katılırlar. Ba'al, zamanda yolculuk ederek Dünya'da 1939 yılına seyahat eder ve ABD'ye Yıldız Geçidi'ni taşıyan gemiyi yok eder. Böylece bütün Yıldız Geçidi ekibinin hayatı değişir ve Yıldız Geçidi programı tarihten silinir. Bunun üzerine Teal'c ve Vala, beklenmedik bir şekilde yok olurlar, ardından insanlar ve nesneler de yok olmaya başlar. SG-1 ekibi Dünya'da donmak üzereyken Jack O'Neill liderliğindeki bir takım tarafından kurtarılır. Yaşanan bu ilginç olayları Tümgeneral Henry Landry'ye anlatmaktadırlar fakat o, zamanda yolculuk edilebileceğine inanmamaktadır. Aradan bir yıl geçer ve Dünya'ya saldırmak üzere gelen bir Gou'uld gemisi yörüngeye yaklaşır. Dünya ele geçirilip köle bir toplum haline getirilmeden önce SG-1 ekibi, Yıldız Geçidi'ni bulup sorunları halletmek zorundadırlar.
