Danila yeni bir hayata başlamak amacıyla Petersburg'da yaşayan abisinin yanına gider. Gangster ve katil olan abisinin birini öldürüp öldüremeyeceğini sorması Danila'nın suç dünyasına girmesini sağlar. Hemen ardından bu yeni hayatında yeni insanlarla tanışır, kız arkadaş edinir ve Nautilus Pompillius isimli bir rock grubunun hayranı olur. Öldürmenin yaşamaktan daha kolay olduğunu farketmesi aynı zamanda yanlış yolda olduğunu anlamasını sağlayacaktır. * Dönemin atmosferini, rus insanini harika bir sekilde anlatan film. İzlerken her sahnesinde bu kadar da olmaz dedim. Soğuk, kaba fakat içerisinde korkak olan rus erkeklerini, siyahlara karşı olan tutumlarını (black shit of piece), rusya'nın gizemli ve iç karartıcı halini mükemmel bir sekilde yansıtıyor. Hikayesi ilginç, oyunculuklar samimi.
