Avril (Camille Cottin) otuz yaşında düzenli ve disiplinli biridir. Mutlu bir evliliği ve iyi bir işi vardır. Annesi Mado (Juliette Binoche) ise tam tersi, ilerleyen yaşına rağmen asi, kaygısız, keyfine düşkün biridir.
