Bir arkadaşlarının Fransız Rivierası'ndaki müstakil evinde tatil yapmakta olan Marianne (Romy Schneider) ve Jean-Paul (Alain Delon), mutlu ve huzurlu bir çifttir. Ancak bu sessiz ortam, Marianne'in eski sevgilisi ve Jean-Paul'ün dostu Harry'nin (Maurice Ronet) beklenmedik ziyaretiyle bozulacaktır.
