Kötü kalpli Doktor Eggman, Tavşan Cream'i kaçırmıştır. Sonic, Eggman'ın elinden arkadaşını kurtarmaya çalıştığı sırada kaos zümrütlerinin sebep olduğu büyük bir patlama meydana gelir. Sonunda Sonic ve arkadaşları kendilerini insanların dünyasına ışınlanmış olarak bulacaklardır. Burada Sonic'in başı kendisini yakalamak isteyen polislerle derde girecek ve onlardan kaçarken düştüğü havuzda Chris Thorndyke adlı küçük bir çocuk tarafından kurtarılacaktır.
