Julieta žije sama se svou dcerou Antíou poté, co do jejich šťastného života krutě zasáhl osud. Po smrti Julietina manžela Xoana, Antíina otce, prožívají nejhorší období. Obě trpí, Julieta se uzavře do sebe a jejich tichá bolest je postupem času odcizuje. Když je Antíe osmnáct let, opustí svou matku bez jediného slova vysvětlení. Julieta ji více než 12 let zoufale hledá všemi možnými způsoby. Během té dlouhé doby zjišťuje, jak málo svou dceru zná. Až náhodné setkání s Antíou dává matce šanci pokusit se ji získat zpět. Osamělá a zlomená Julieta se rozhodne konfrontovat svůj život a říct dceři pravdu o osudových událostech, které jejich životy rozdělily.
