"Woochi" begynder i Chosun-dynastiet i 1509 og vedrører en trio af taoistiske troldmænd, en tryllekunstner ved navn Jeon Woo Chi og hans hund omvendt til en mand, en korrupt konge, onde gobliner, og en profetisk fløjte som de alle er ude efter. Jeon Woo Chi bliver fanget i en gammel papyrus-rulle i 500 år for en forbrydelse han ikke har begået. I år 2009 kaldes trolmændene frem fra deres fredelige pensionering, da gobliner igen skaber ravage i det moderne Korea. Trioen slipper Jeon Woo Chi fri fra sit fangeskab i papyrus-rullen for at redde dagen. Jeon Woo Chi, en slags anti-superhelt, er nu mere interesseret i sight-seeing og i at begå sig som skørtejæger i det moderne Korea.
