Sid Mehra è, secondo suo padre, un arrogante, bambino viziato. Vive con il fratello minore e i genitori che gli pagano tutte le spese. Finito il college, Sid inizia a lavorare con il padre, un imprenditore di successo, ma resiste meno di una settimana. Ad una festa di laurea, conosce Aisha, appena arrivata da Calcutta e decisa a diventare una scrittrice. Sid l’aiuta ad inserirsi in città ed a ristrutturare un appartamento in affitto.
