Film je fascinantna in bogato zamišljena zgodba v kateri je združil nekatera največja imena Hollywooda, ki nam briljantno predstavi zgodovinska dejstva. Dogajanje je postavljeno v 30. leta prejšnjega stoletja in spremlja tri prijatelje: zdravnika dr. Burta Berendsena, odvetnika Harolda Woodmana in medicinsko sestro Valerie Voze, ki so priča umoru.
